Look a little closer
Small containers can look similar while serving different purposes. A coin purse, pouch and travel case may organise different objects and use different openings. Museum captions can help clarify a particular example, but naming practices also vary across time and collections.
A note for your design book
Describe the container first: overall shape, opening, internal divisions and recorded purpose. Keep an unfamiliar historical name alongside the source rather than translating it into a confident modern equivalent. When sketching your own container, start with the things it should hold. The resulting vocabulary should explain the object rather than merely make the label sound elegant.
